Yiu Lian Hong Kong Yiu Lian Dockyards Limited founded in October,1964 and today operates two yards at Tsing Yi and Yam O in Hong Kong and two subsidiaries at Shekou and Zhangzhou in mainland China, is one of the strategic business units of the  China Merchants Industry Holdings Co., Ltd   The company is one of the busiest shiprepairers in Far East and the biggest in Hong Kong, carry out drydock and general repairs to more than 300 vessels a year, ranging from general cargo vessels, bulk carriers, tankers, cruiseships to the world's largest container carriers.   The company, also undertakes refurbishment and conversion work to offshore oil rigs and supporting vessels, and branches out into spare parts manufacturing, land based steelwork engineering and harbour tugboat services. Since its establishedment, the company has committed to give excellent quality workmanship and technical expertise to all her customers.
